If you find one gameplay that you enjoy, bingo, but you don't really create your own playstyle, you use skill X because it deals +10.000% more damage with your current set.Īnd as for the atrocity that is ancient and super ancient gear or whatever name it bears.to give you an idea, each meaningfull piece of gear you'll drop at high level has 10% chance of being "special", and by "special, I mean 10% more powerful. That being said, it really doesn't allow much creativity in terms of build, you're kinda rail-roaded into using one set of your class, and this set will dictate what skill you will use and how you play. The character models are well-detailed, and the art-style is a matter of taste, some call it cartoonish and I see what they mean, but I enjoyed it, and the overall design, like the piece of armors, the monster diversity, all this is top-notch. It has also a lot of replayability with randomly-generated content, and impressive boss fights when leveling, before you become an unstoppable killing machine. D3 has by far the smoothest and more satisfying gameplay, the way your character move and react, the animations, the skills, it's just fluid. Different games for different people, but this is my point of view on the matter :
